Our middle daughter turns 22 today. (But I'm still 32, of course.) She graciously agreed to a joint birthday/Father's Day celebration yesterday, having come 'round to the inevitable truth that all birthdays after your 21st are really rather anticlimactic and not all that exciting any more.
