A Wedding in Hunt

... Texas, that is. The wedding site was at the headwaters of the Guadalupe River. Gorgeous spot. Especially for Texas.

The bride and groom are grads of OU, thus the red theme. These cakes were transported 289 miles from our front door, with only two minor heart attacks on my part during the trip.

The popular White Almond Sour Cream cake, buttercream icing, covered with fondant, then decorated with more buttercream.

We have been meaning to comment for weeks now- missing your comments at Sophie's site. Where is the Guad. River? John and I visited Guad. Mtn on our trip in 04'. We will never forget it- so cold and so beautiful.

The headwaters of the Guadalupe River are northwest of San Antonio about 50 miles or so. That's where the wedding site was. I don't really know where the river flows from there. But it sure is beautiful at the headwaters.

Have been so busy with our daughter's wedding, our move, and now new cake business that I haven't commented much on Sophie's site lately. But know that I still check in there daily. You guys are always a bright spot in my day.

Love the painty pics of late. Takes me back to the old days ...

I was curious if you ever considered changing
the layout of your blog? Its very well written; I love what
youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the
way of content so people could connect with it better.

Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two pictures.
Maybe you could space it out better?

I'm really enjoying the design and layout of your site. It's a very easy on the eyes which makes it much
more pleasant for me to come here and visit more often.

Did you hire out a designer to create your theme? Outstanding work!
