Why you haven't seen many cake pics from me lately ...


Because our first grandbaby was born at home in a tub under a full moon with a midwife on July 25. I can hardly bear to do little else since then but hold, rock, change, sing and talk to this glorious little girl. And by the way ... in this picture I'm rocking her in the rocking chair that my grandparents bought when they were pregnant with my dad in 1923. It's a keeper. And so is she. I'm back in the cake saddle again, though, and here are a few pictures from the past few weeks. More to come.

She is a real doll and you are so lucky that she is right there in Houston, so close so you can hold her and rock her and spoil her allllll you want!

Wow, that's one of the most beautiful babies I think I've ever seen. Congratulations. I don't blame you for spending every second that you can with her. makes me weepy.. geez I'm so old!
